Filing a Copyright Complaint
If you believe that content appearing on SaveAPaw infringes on a copyright you own or control, you may submit a written notice to us that includes the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or, if multiple works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of those works.
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, along with enough information for us to locate it on the site (a specific URL is the fastest way to help us find it).
- Your contact information, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Notices can be sent to: dmca@saveapaw.com
Our Process
Once we receive a complete and valid notice, we’ll review it and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material in question. We’ll also make a reasonable effort to notify the party who posted or is responsible for the content.
Counter-Notification
If you believe material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notification should include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district, and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original complaint.
Counter-notifications can also be sent to dmca@saveapaw.com.
Repeat Infringers
SaveAPaw reserves the right to remove content and, where applicable, terminate access for parties who are found to be repeat infringers of copyright.
